Joy Speaks

I’ve been a speaker for over 20 years. In that time, I’ve spoken to lots of people – I’ve never felt a need to keep track of how many. This past year, I’ve taken a bit of a hiatis from speaking as I sensed God wanted me to seek Him about His will for me in this area. After a lot of prayer, I realized a few things and I want to share them with you before you decide if I’m the right speaker for your group/event.

I’m a good Bible speaker/teacher, but I’m an excellent speaker when the topics are:

Your Life a Legacy

Legacy can be a single topic workshop or a 4-part retreat.  The book will soon be released as an e-Book and in a month or so will be in print as well and was inspired by the retreats I’ve led. Attendees asked for this book to use in conjunction with having me come as a speaker.

Poetry – Touch the World With Your Art & Soul – A Workshop

The Poetry Workshop can be a single or 2-part event. This is NOT an event that teaches you what poetry is or about the different styles you can write. It is for poets who want to write and share their words. The book is now available as an e-Book on Kindle for 99 cents. The workshop topics are:

What Matters Most?

Who Cares, Why Share?

Speaking Fees: $50 per session. Plus, mileage as estimated by the IRS and if the event is overnight, food and private lodging.

I was recently asked, “Why so cheap, isn’t it true that you get what you pay for?”

My answer:

Sometimes, but not always. I’ve got the talent and experience to charge more (this is 10% of my former fees), but am certain this is the correct fee. It’s this simple. I prayed. This number rested on my heart like a warm blanket.
